NEW CONTENT PARTNERSHIP

THEMA is proud to announce its collaboration with VIU from PCCW Group to oversee the ​worldwide distribution of “Viu Original” content, renowned for its quality and success.


VIU is a leading pan-regional over-the-top (OTT) video streaming service available in 16 ​markets across Asia, the Middle East, and South Africa. With over 62 million monthly active ​users and 13 million paid subscribers, VIU offers fresh TV series, movies, and lifestyle ​programs from top content providers in local and regional languages.


VIU releases premium original content under the brand “Viu Original,” with productions from ​Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Chinese content from Hong Kong. Recent ​hits include the Indonesian “Private Bodyguard” which reached over 10 million viewers on the ​fourth day of broadcasting and quickly led to a spin-off.


Since June 2024, the CANAL+ group has increased its minority shareholding in VIU to 36.8%, ​highlighting CANAL+'s commitment to developing its presence in Asia.

THEMA DAY​ AMSTERDAM

THEMA was very glad to host THEMA DAY Amsterdam on September 19th at the STRAAT ​Museum, an event held for THEMA clients and partners from THEMA Northern Europe.


Between presentations of Mezzo, Museum TV, MyZen TV, multicultural packs, Korean content ​from SBS, CJ, and Studio Genie, along with a museum tour, cocktail, and dinner... The evening ​offered a perfect immersion into the world of content, culture, and art.

On September 11, the opening concert of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, conducted by ​Rafael Payare, took place, along with the celebration of 10 years of collaboration with the ​Mezzo Live channel, organized by the THEMA Canada team.


Over the years, this partnership has resulted in numerous concerts broadcast on Mezzo Live, ​allowing audiences worldwide to appreciate the varied and bold repertoire presented by the ​Montreal orchestra.
